Rapid Stadium

in Bucharest of Romania has been newly constructed with a great success with the co-operation of UniSports Evo Srl, Greentech Sod Ltd, Hellasod SA and S. C. CONSTRUCŢII ERBAŞU S.A.

The projects that UniSports Evo Srl, was involved were:

– Supervision of works for constructing the new sub base of the pitch
– Design of new drainage system. The drainage system was constructed according to the SHELTON DRAINAGE SYSTEM of linear arrangement.
– Installation of new irrigation system and pumping system
– Installation of hybrid sod carpet turf (Hellasod variety “Balcanica”) with soil substrate composition of 99% sand.

The “Balkanica” sod variety that was installed is the ideal for sport field use, due to its high quality varieties of seeds mixture, following the international sport fields standards of FIFA.
This high quality sod variety was excellent resistance to intense use due to its wear tolerance and is absolutely suitable for the microclimate of the Balkan region.  .

The installation of the new sod was done using the big roll method (sod rolls of 1,20m. width X 30 m. long).That method allows for the minimum of joints in the field (around 160).

The field was delivered in perfect condition thanks to the company’s professionalism and special know-how.
